Cric Qatar celebrates Indian Independence Day in colourful way

Doha, Aug 15: A group of expatriate cricketers from CRIC QATAR joined together to celebrate India’s Independence Day by singing national anthem and by holding national flags.

Singers from Doha Music Lovers Group sang patriotic songs and made the occasion pious and full of national spirit. The Cricket players present there said, their united effort is a 'gesture of love and gratitude' to their motherland.

Speaking on the occasion Syed Rafi the chairman of Cric Qatar mentioned that every year they celebrate India’s Independence Day with lot of zeal and patriotism. “The gathering celebrated the harmony, togetherness and cultural diversity of India while uniting everyone beyond boundaries”," he said. “Qatar is a home away from home where we celebrate oneness, said Mohammed Irfan of HIQ Cricket Club.

Apart from Madhu Vanteru of Doha Music Lovers Group, Tanvir, Irfan and Ayyub were part of the core group to hold the event successfully said Mohammed Atif of Cric Qatar.

"Cric Qatar is going to celebrate an eventful Indian Independence Day this year. The Indian Independence Day is celebrated on August 15. However, this year we are going to have weeklong celebrations and some wonderful experiences while sharing the love for our culture and patriotism for our mother nation in Doha," said Syed Rafi the chairman of Cric Qatar and Doha Music Lovers Group.
