Puttur: Anganawady Employee Sandhya Ravischandra Honoured

Puttur, Apr 8: The Anganawady workers cater to the needs of little children by showering them motherly-love at the nurseries and work towards betterment of society, said taluk panchayat member Shashiprabha.


Shashiprabha was speaking at the felicitation programme of Sandhya Ravischandra, the recipient of state award for top Anganawady employee, here on Saturday April 9.  The felicitation programme was held at the aegis of local social welfare and voluntary organizations.

Sandhya has been working as an Anganawady employee at Sampya, here since the past 20 years.  She is known to treat the children with tenderly-love and was concern of saving among the women, said Shashiprabha.  The state award has been significant in recognition of her service, added Shashiprabha.
Town council opposition party leader H Mohammed said that it’s significant indeed that the services of Sandhya was recognized among 40,000 Anganawady workers in the state, said Mohammed.

Town council chief executive officer Shivaling Kondaguli also honoured Geetha, an assistant at Sampya Anganawady at the same occasion. Puttur block resources centre member Shamsuddin Sampya conveyed best wishes to Sandhya.

Anasuya teacher and Mamatanjali introduced the awardee – Sandhya.  Umesh S K welcomed the gathering.  Treasurer Mounesh Vishwakarma compered the programme.
