Beltangady, Mar 30: Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar was reaccredited with “A” Grade by the National Assessmentand Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous quality assessment body instituted by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
This college is rural based and known for academic excellence. The teaching and learning process in the college is commendable. The college provides praiseworthy infrastructure and introduced many student beneficiary schemes. Prof Lingamurthy, the former Vice Chancellor of Kakatheya University, Andhra Pradesh, Prof Chousalkar, the HOD of Political Science, Shivaji University, Maharastra and Dr Arulanandam,Principal of St Mary’s College, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu were in the Peer team. The team visited the college and appreciated the unique student centric education practiced in the institution.
This achievement is the fruit of the collaborative effort and work of the Management, Principal, Staff, students , alumni and PTA of the College. Rev Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the correspondent commended all the stake holders for this feat, particularly Dr Robert Jose, the Principal, Prof Joseph N M, the IQAC co-ordinator and the entire team of staff and students of the college for their hard work and commitment to secure this highest grade to the College.
