Kasargod: Tragedy Hits Stone Quarry – Three Die

Kasargod, Mar 23: In a tragic incident that occurred on Tuesday March 22 afternoon at Ennapura near Ambalattara, Kanhangad in the district, three persons died on the spot, after a huge boulder came crashing down on them. They have been identified as Aziz (30), resident of Seventh Mile, Ambalattara, Rajeevan (44), and P K Raman (45).

The incident occurred when the three were working in the stone quarry owned by a person named Tamban. While two died on the spot, the third one lost his life while being taken to the hospital.

Fire brigade personnel, policemen, and the general public, rushed to the spot and got engaged in relief operations. Large number of people had gathered at the quarry and the hospital. The wails of the family members of the three were heart-rending.
