Bengaluru, Jan 3: “Who is this lady, named Aishwarya Gowda? When did she meet Anita Kumaraswamy and Nikhil Kumaraswamy?” asked Union Minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy on Friday.

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, the JDS leader demanded to know the “unseen hands” behind the Aishwarya Gowda episode and alleged that names of his wife Anita and son Nikhil are being “deliberately dragged in the gold and silver loot.”

After reading media reports on the Aishwarya Gowda episode and her alleged attempts to swindle gold and silver dealers, the JDS leader claimed that he inquired about the episode and expressed surprise that the complaint regarding the alleged attempt to fraud gold and silver dealers took place during 2016-19 and the complaint is being registered now.

Alleging that the Congress government is attempting to frame its political opponents in “fictitious cases,” Kumaraswamy said the complaint regarding the alleged incident that took place in 2016 is being registered in 2024.

“I was chief minister in 2018. Why the complainants did not approach me when I was Chief Minister,” he asked taking the police and officials to task for dragging his wife and son in the case.

The JDS leader said the administration is deteriorating and political opponents are being framed in false cases. The entire system has been trivialized, he said and wondered when the government will awake after series of suicides.

“Who is this Ramesh Gowda? He was having food at some place and made a phone call to Kumaraswamy and the said Kumaraswamy demanded payment of Rs 50 crore,” he said and mentioned that he will come out with details after the Sankranti festival and reveal everything.
