BJP Dissidents Preparing Case against CM

Bangalore, Mar 23, DHNS: Determined to weaken if not oust B S Yeddyurappa, the group in the ruling party that is leading the latest rebellion against him, is building a strong case of corruption against the chief minister and family members.

The chief protagonists of the latest rebellion, BJP State president K S Eshwarappa and BJP National General Secretary Ananth Kumar, are understood to have compiled documents to validate their complaints before the central leadership.

The dissidents are also documenting various instances wherein Yeddyurappa had taken unilateral decisions, sidelining seniors in the party, in open defiance of the directive of the central ledership that all major decisions should be approved by the party core committee.
It is learnt that the dissidents are waiting for March 24, when the special Lokayukta court is expected to pronounce its order in one of the five cases against Yeddyurappa and his family members who are facing charges of land scam.

The court is hearing four cases, involving 15 scams, and has completed hearing in one case. A source in the Eshwarappa camp said the court may issue summons to the chief minister or his family members or transfer the case to an investigating agency or reserve the order to club it with other cases.

The five complaints were filed by two advocates after Governor H R Bhardwaj gave sanction for prosecution of the chief minister.

The court had posted for orders on Thursday the first complaint with three charges by advocates Sirajin Basha and K N Balaraj after their counsel completed arguments.

Party Joint General Secretary V Satish, on Tuesday, is said to have spoken to some members in the dissident camp in a bid to pacify them, but apprently made no headway.
