Mangalore, March 22: An election for the post of president of Editors Club was held recently. Iqbal Kuttar, was elected as the President of the Editors' Club, Mangalore for the year 2011- 12.

Shaik Isaac Puttur, M J  Rao and Kavitha Mohan were elected as vice presidents. Ashok Shetty for the post of general secretary. B N along with Dajesh Kadri and Mohan Suvarna as secretaries. Jabbar Mallur, for the post of treasurer. The new elected members of the action committee are Gangadar Pilliyur, Hameed Kenya, Honnayya Kulal, M A Bava Padarangi, Ramesh Pandith, Mittur Hameed Kandak and Vinayakrishna.

Ismail Moodshedde, Johmson D’ Souza, Abobakkar Arlapadav, Hazim Meramajalu, Vishwanatha Bantwal, Ashraf Vaalpadi, Parshwanath, M Moiddin Sakafi, M M Shareef Mangalapete, Farook continued as common members. Ramesh Pandith presided over the function. Jabbar Mallur welcomed the gathering and also presented the annual report and accounts of the previous year. Ashok Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
