Udupi: Two Complaints of Assault on Youth Registered

Udupi, Mar 12: In a complaint filed with Manipal police station, Keertana, a college student residing near the city bus stand here, said that a gang of eight people barged into an apartment room in Manipal and beat up Faraz, who was with her at the time. She said she and Faraz, who is working as assistant in a Manipal hotel, were in apartment number 314 of Krishnaleela building in Manipal, when a gang comprising of eight men including Shylesh and Pradeep came into the room.

She also said that the gang members abused her using filthy words, before dropping off her at her home in their car. The policemen have registered a case.

In another case, a four-member gang that included Kishore, Janardan, and two others, reportedly came to Malpe beach and beat up Bailakere Arsalan (20) and Ijaz, when they were sitting in the beach and chatting with four college girls, Farhana, Nousheen, Meghana, and  Jennifer. A case has been registered in this connection in Malpe police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the affected persons.
