Bangalore, Mar 12: Darul Huda Islamic University organized its silver jubilee celebration and a publicity campaign at ADA Raga Mandir, on Friday March 11.
The state minister of Haj and Waqf Professor Mumtaz Ali Khan inaugurated the publicity campaign.
Minister Prof Khan, in her inaugural address, said that Islam propagates peace and harmonious living even though a few vested interests try to sabotage the true meaning of Islam.
She called upon the community members to expand their horizons of creativity by utilizing available resources in promoting brotherhood in the society.
Panakkad Munavar Ali Shihab Tangal presided over the programme.
SAMASTA chief secretary Shaikuna Zainuddin Cherucchery, Darul Huda Islamic University vice-chancellor Moulana Bahavuddin Nadvi, Mandya deputy commissioner P C Jaffer, Dr N A Mohammed, Haji V C Karim, K M Farooq, Haji A B Khader, and U M Shafi spoke on the occasion.
‘Cyber Murabs’, a seminar, was held ahead of the publicity campaign.
