Puttur: RSS Activists Uniform - Changes on Cards

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Mar 10: Sources in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have revealed that the RSS convention under progress in the town has taken an important decision about the change in the dress code for RSS volunteers.

Till now, belts and shoes made of leather were compulsory for the RSS men. Henceforth, the activists will wear only the shoes and belts made of canvass.

In tune with changed times, and depicting its changing stance, RSS has taken this decision. A few years ago, a proposal  to replace shorts worn by RSS activists with pants had been mooted in a convention held in Nagpur, but this proposal was not accepted by the Akhila Bharat Pratinidhi Sabha.

It is learnt that the issue of replacing the shorts never came up for consideration this time. On the last day of the ongoing convention, RSS will make an official announcement about the above change, it is gathered.
