Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 12: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, Jun 12, reported 14 new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered three cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,655 out of which 28 are currently active.

 The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three corona cases were reported on Jun 12, the total active Covid cases are 14.

A total of 10,86,893 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,72,275 have received both doses and 77,263 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
