Udupi, Mar 7: In a motor bike accident that occurred near Mandarti Heggunje Neerjaddu near Brahmavar in the taluk on Sunday March 6 evening, the bike rider lost his life on the spot. The pillion rider has been injured.
Shamant Poojary (25), a resident of Barkur Bennekudru, died after his vehicle hit a pole. Vasudev Acharya (45), a native of Pandeshwar Moodhadu, who has a tailoring shop in Barkur, was injured.
He was admitted into a private hospital in Manipal, in a serious condition.
