Mangalore: Four couples enter into wedlock through Free Mass Marriage

Mangalore, Feb 28:
TC Friends, a city based charitable association organized a mass marriage ceremony at Zeenath Baksh Yatheem Khan Hall here on Monday February 28. This mass marriage ceremony was organized as part of birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed.

Four couples entered into wedlock in the presence of religious leaders. Haji K S Mohammed Masood, Chairman, Muslim Central Committee inaugurated the programme and wished all success to the couples. He said that they always show their interest to extend their help to this kind of programmes.

M Abdul Rahman, former Vice Chancellor of Kannur and Calicut Universities, Haji S M Rashid, Abdul Wahid Faizi, Khatheeb among others were present.
 
According to the organizers, Rs. 1,30,000 per bride including 5 sovereign gold and dress in the total budget of Rs 7 lakh has been spent for this marriage. Mangalore Qazi Thwaqa Ahmed Musliar administered the Nikah.
