Mangalore: Vibrant Cultural Programme Marks St Aloysius School Day

Mangalore, Feb 27:  The School Day of St Aloysius Higher Primary School was held at the High School Grounds on Saturday February 26 at 4.30 pm.


The programme commenced with a welcome dance by the students of first std. This was followed by a welcome speech by the headmistress Philomena Lewis.

Dr Mohan Alva, founder and chairman of Alva’s Institute Moodbidri was the chief guest. In his message he asked the parents to be more involved in the education process and also appreciated the good work done by the Aloysius Institutions for the past 131 years.

It was followed by distribution of prizes. Fr Joseph Rodrigues, rector of Aloysius
Institutions presided over the function. Vinod D'Souza, an old student of the school and presently the vice president of the PTA was the guest of honour.

Fr Clifford Sequeira, correspondent and president of the PTA presented the annual report. The SPL and ASPL of the school Karan Gollekere and Akash were also present. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a colourful and vibrant cultural programme.

The school Anthem at the end signalled the end of the programme.
