Puttur, Feb 26: A lady, whose marriage was scheduled to solemnized shortly, committed suicide by jumping into a well. The incident occurred at Devasya in Bannur village here on Thursday February 24.
The deceased has been identified as Kavita (22), daughter of Padmaiah Gowda from Devasya. Her marriage had been fixed with a boy from Konaje.
In a complaint filed with the local policemen, brother of the girl, Premachandra, said that Kavita suffered from depression since her mother died eight years back.
