Karkala: Unauthorized Religious Structures Razed

Karkala, Feb 25: On Thursday February 24, operation to clear unauthorized religious structures as er the Supreme Court order, was undertaken in the town and nearby places.

Ayyappa Mandir’s outer precincts in Kukkundoor village, Bailor Darga having a history of four centuries, Nire Satyanatarayana Katte, 11 platforms of different temples within municipal limits, and eight holy crosses set up at Miyar and Inna, were cleared during the operation.

Tahisldar, Jagannath Rao, led the operations.  Police security was provided to avoid any untoward incidents.

    Indeed good work. Should not allow any illegal structures to come up , these leads to create social unrest.
