Bengaluru, Apr 23: The new academic year will have 26 additional days of learning in order to make up with the time lost due to Covid pandemic in the past two years.
The first term of the current fiscal year will start from May 16 and end on October 2, while the second term will begin on October 17 and end on April 10.
Summer holidays are curtailed to 48 days and Dasara holidays will be only 14 days. Wherever Christmas holidays are declared, Dasara holidays will be reduced further.

Out of the 330 days of academic year, 60 days of holiday including Dasara, summer and government holidays are there. Co-curricular activities, examinations, parent-teacher meetings, excursions and other activities will take 28 days. This means that 228 days will be for classroom teaching. The number of divisions will be increased. The timings will be from 10 am to 4.20 pm.
