Puttur, Feb 9: Karnataka State Sunni Students Federation (SSF) state committee member, Abdul Hamid Bajpe, clarified that SSF is not involved with the abduction drama of Hussain Darimi, which allegedly took place here on Monday February 7. He was addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.

“No one had abducted Hussain Darimi as alleged. It is true that he was sighted at Koora. But Koora Tangal behaved respectably with him. Vested interests are now trying to defame Koora Tangal by alleging his involvement with the said abduction. SSF does not have anything to do with the three persons, who have surrendered in the court. We demand for a thorough probe to reveal their actual identities,” he demanded.

He demanded for registering of a case against S B Mohammed Darimi, Hussain Darimi, Hamid Darimi, Sarfuddin Tangal, and Sulaiman Moulavi, for insulting Koora Tangal (assistant Kazi of the district, Syed Fazal Koyamma Tangal), who is a spiritual leader of Muslims. “The effort made by Darimi group to openly discredit the Koora Tangal is aimed at shaking the faith of the Muslims. The fans of the Tangal are hurt by this action,” he explained.

He said that he will condemn any wrong deeds that are done by misusing the name of SSF, and that the efforts to humiliate SSF workers will be fought back. He said that fans of the Tangal had complained to the police at various places in the district against the Darimi group for defaming Koora Tangal, and urged the policemen to register cases in all these instances.

SSF state committee leaders, M B Hamid Madikeri, Habib Nala Bangalore, advocate, Mohammed Shaffi, P B Kasim Haji, and Moidukutty were present at the press conference.
