Mekedatu, Mahadayi, UKP, Upper Bhadra top on CM’s agenda in Delhi visit

Bengaluru, Apr 5: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is set to meet the Union minister for Water Resources on reaching Delhi later in the evening on Tuesday and discuss issues related to Mekedatu, Mahadayi, Upper Krishna, Upper Bhadra and other projects.

'I will take up administrative and technical issues related to these projects and seek the clearances for the speedy implementation of these projects,’’ Bommai said. Speaking to media persons, he said he would be meeting Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawagt later in the evening and also meet Union Finance minister Nirmala Seetharaman tomorrow and discuss issues related to GST.

Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh has agreed to affiliate Sangolli Rayanna School as Sainik School. ``I will meet Rajnath Singh too to discuss a few issues,’’ Bommai said.

Cabinet Expansion: Replying to a question on the cabinet expansion, Bommai said: "I will meet BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah if I get an appointment.

``The consultation and concurrence of the national leaders is necessary. Ours is a national party and we have to follow the norms,’’ he said.

Bommai said, there is a High Court order regarding Azaan. There is also an order asking as to why it has not been implemented. It even specifies the sound decibel level. There is an order to install Decibel meters. ``It is a task which needs to be implemented by taking everyone into confidence, not by force,’’ he explained.

In response to a question on Andhra Pradesh IT, BT Minister KT Ramaraos tweet Bommai said, it is ridiculous. People from all over the world are coming down to Bengaluru. The city is home to highest number of startups and unicorns.
