Mysore, Jan 29: The feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated recently on a grand scale at Pushpashrama here.

Around 10,000 devotees visited the shrine during the novenas and on the feast day. Fr C Francis, vicar general of Bangalore diocese, was the main celebrant of the mass held at 11.30 am for the sick. This was followed by community feast.

In the evening, a solemn mass was held at 5 pm. Band, flower girls, choir, fire works, car procession, candle light procession, and release of two cassettes composed by Fr Wilfred Frank OCD – ‘Jesus the Life’ and ‘Jesus the Way’, were the high lights of the feast.

‘Jesus the Inspirer of the Youth’, was the theme of the day.
