Udupi: ICYM, YCS Units of Udyavar Parish Celebrate Annual Day

The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and Young Christian Students (YCS) of Udyavar parish celebrated their annual day at St Francis Xavier church grounds, here recently.


 
Fr Roshan D’Souza in his inaugural address said, ‘Politics is common in every youth association, but we should make sure that it should be for the best purpose,’ he said.  ‘We should be smart enough to tackle the problems of life and should become role models for others,’ he added.
 
Fr Roshan D’Souza, Fr Charles Noronha, Fr Anil D’Almeida, Gerald Pereira of Udyavarites Association Gulf, John D’Souza, Lawrence D’Sa, ICYM president Silvan Crasto and YCS president Anusha Machado were the chief guests for the occasion.
 
The animators of ICYM John Gomes, Michael D’Souza and Urban were felicitated for their service and for helping the youth in all their activities.
 
The prize distribution ceremony was held for the winners of various competitions held in the parish. Kavlya Kudrachi Katha, Konkani play directed by Austin Machado was staged by the members of both ICYM and YCS units on the same occasion.
