M’lore: Sacred Hearts’ High School Lass Deeksha Bags Gold in National Games, Pune

Mangalore, Jan 21:  Deeksha of Sacred Hearts’ High School bagged the gold medal in high jump and bronze in long jump in the 56th National School Games, 2010-11 under the auspices of school games federation of India, organised by Directorate of Sports & Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, here recently.


 

Commissioner Dr K N Vijaya Prakash honoured Deeksha. Shantha , chairman of Health Committee, Mariamma Thomas, Manjunatha Shetty, Environment engineer Raghunath Health Officer; Karunakara, Health Inspector, Krishnappa Gowda, assistant health officer, Jakhir, Malabar Gold representative and Melvin were present during the felicitation programme.

Physical education teacher Flavia Pais and headmistress Sr Cicilia Mendonca were present on the dais.
