Karkala , Jan 20: As a part of renovation rituals of ancient Sri Kundeshwara temple of Hirgana, Rudra Yaga, Brahmakalashotsava and cultural fest will be organized on Jan 21, 22 and 23.
Devotees believe that their prayer will be heard at the temple as Udhbava Linga situated there is the specialty of the temple. Devotees are eagerly waiting to witness the splendor of Brahmakalashabhishekam.
Construction of sacred altar (Dwajastamba) and copper coating is already finished. The development work was completed under the able guidance of Mumbai police officer Daya Nayak, Paroli Gulabi Shetty, temple staffs and devotees. The Brahmakalashotsava will be performed by Yedapadav Ramamoorthi Tantri and chief priest Krishna Rajendra Bhat.
Kundeshwara temple which is situated amidst green landscape and banyan tree is there in both left and right side of the sacred place. Ancient Nagashila is located beneath the banyan tree. Many devotees worship by considering this as ‘Moola Naga’. Rakteshwari, Banta Daiva, Vyagra Chamundi and Latthande Panjurli is also incarnated here. The presence of goddess Durge is also emerged.
On 21st the inauguration of Vasanth Mantap will be done by Police officer Daya Nayak at 8 pm. ‘Kutumba’ Tulu drama by Vijaykumar Kodialbail will be performed at 9 pm and on 22nd rituals like Dwaja Prathiste, Brahmakalashotsava, Annasantharpane, Utsava Bali, Katte Pooja, Rakteshari Nema, Daiva Bheti, Dwajarohana will be performed. Religious meeting will be held at 2.30pm.
Hari Asranna, priest of Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, Kateel will deliver the blessing speech. Thalamaddale by Kalkura Prathistana at 3.30 pm. On 23rd Thalamaddale will be presented by Malpe Vasudeva Samaga at 4pm. Orchestra and dance programme will be presented by the Zee TV fame participants at 8 pm. The valedictory ceremony of cultural programme will be held on January 23.
