Mangalore, Jan 19: Shadadhara Pratishta was held at Bailu Kowdur Kalabhairaveshwara temple, Kolambe here on Monday January 17.
A large number of devotees and the office bearers of the temple including Shedde Manjunath Bhandary were present on the occasion.
The temple is situated amidst the verdant hills at Kolambe village, via Gurupura Kaikamba, here. An Ashtamangala Prashne was conducted by Jyotirratna Payyanur a A K Narayana Poduwal on the temple premises recently and renovation plans have been drawn according to the astrological findings.
The temple is said to have a history of 650 years. Poojas were conducted; it is learnt, by the scholarly sages. The earnest prayers here have never gone unfulfilled. Besides Kalabhairaveshwara, there are also Lord Ganapati and Nagas as well as Rakteshwari and Chamundi daivas. It has been planned to construct shrines for these deities also.
The renovation work has been planned at an estimated cost of Rs 1, 30, 89,000. Those who wish to contribute are requested to deposit the amount at SB account with Kaikamba branch of Vijaya Bank.

The names of the devotees who contribute Rs 5000 and above will be inscribed on the marble plaques on the temple premises. Devotees can also take up partial works of the renovation plan. The name of the donor will be written on the project taken up.
