Kasargod, Jan 17: Investigating team has succeeded in arresting the two prime persons accused of murdering Rishad (26) in Battampare, here.
Rishad was murdered on Sunday January 9. The arrested are M Paresh (22) resident of Meepuguri and K Kiran Kumar (32) of Kelugudde. The team led by DYSP P Vikram arrested them.
Weapons used for the act were seized from a plantation near Kucchukod Kelugudde. 36 cm long bloodstained knife has been discovered from the same spot. It is said that killers themselves showed the place where the weapons were hidden.
The reason for the inhuman act is yet to be discovered. Investigative officers have decided to take the culprits to custody after producing them before the court said investigative officers. Arrested Kiran Kumar is also an accused in Mohamed Sinan’s murder case in the year 2008. He was released on bail. He then left to Dubai. He had come to Kasargod two months ago.
People in large numbers gathered near the court premise when the accused were brought to the court. It can be recalled that with regard to this case, two were arrested last week.
