Mangaluru: Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil celebrates International Women’s Day

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Indian Pharmaceutical Association, DK District, Local Branch, Mangaluru in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy organised 'International Women’s Day' on March 8.

The programe was inaugurated by Dr Veena S Rai, associate professor, MBA department, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. Dr Veena called upon the young women that women empowerment is for the benevolences of women to fight against odds, check personality and carry responsibility in her life. On this occasion she wished the gathering for facing hardship with bravey and resilience, problems through smile by concealing their worries in their heart and becoming a strong women indeed.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Mangaluru, advised to adopt 'choose to challenge' which means until and unless we challenge our fears there will be no change in the society.

Dr EVS Subrahmanyam, professor and HOD, dept of Pharm. Chemistry and vice president, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Mangaluru, Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangaluru and Vineetha K, assistant professor Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangaluru were present during the programme.

Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu, professor coordinated the programme. Vindya, welcomed and introduced the gathering. Vindhya and Shreya anchored the programme and Trupthi P Rai, president, student council proposed the vote of thanks.
