Mangalore: Konkani CD ‘Aicho Sansar’ Seeks to Inspire Social Awareness

Mangalore, Jan 11: ‘Aicho Sounsar’, an audio CD of Konkani social awareness songs composed by Stany Baretto, was released at Milagres P U College grounds on Monday January 9 by Fr Walter D’Mello, parish priest, Milagres Church, Mangalore. 
 
A thousand copies of this unique and thought-provoking CD were offered by Baretto as a gift to the St Vincent de Paul Society of the parish for its service to the needy.  The CD was orchestrated by T P Razak, directed by Fr Valerian Mendonca, and recorded at Sandesha Digital Studio, Mangalore. Sangeetha Balachandra, Babita Pinto, Anitha Samson, Rony Crasta, and Anil D’Sa have rendered the songs.

 


Fr Walter, Fr Roshan, Fr Santosh, Fr William, Alwyn Rosario, Gerald Pinto, and Marcel Monteiro along with Winston D’Souza, president, SVP Society, Milagres parish, were present at the event.  Baretto and family presented the jubilee gift for the poor and the needy of the parish. 

Fr D’Mello, releasing the CD, congratulated Baretto on his sacrificial gift to the needy and hoped that the CD would inspire the minds of the listeners.
