Mangaluru: SCS Preschools holds annual sports day

Mangaluru, Mar 1: The annual sports day at SCS Preschools, Mangaluru, was conducted with great zeal and excitement on February 18 and 25, 2022.

The programme began with a prayer. The students displayed a magnificent drill as a part of the inauguration ceremony. A series of sports events were organised for the students, which included both track events as well as indoor games. A sports week was held earlier, in order to prepare the tiny tots for the same.

“After a two year lull due to the pandemic, we are glad that life is getting back to normal, and that the children are able to enjoy schooling as they should. They seem to have lacked exposure to the outdoors. We are happy that we are now able to get them used to outdoor activities and sports which is an integral part of every child’s growing years” said the principal, Vinaya Dsouza.

Both the students as well as the staff enjoyed. Various exciting games like Building Blocks, Obstacle Race, Balancing the Cup, Chair Twister, Car Race, Aim it to win it were among the games conducted. Games were also conducted for the staff and the students enjoyed cheering their teachers.

The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Dr Rajneesh Sorake, the president of SCS Group of Institutions. Dr Sorake distributed certificates and medals to the winners.The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the principal. The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem by the staff and the students.
