Udupi, Jan 6: Ashta Pavitra Nagamandala – Vedic rites will be held in front Kanaka Gopura located on Rath Beedhi, here on Sunday January 15, said Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shroor Mutt.
Addressing the media persons at Sri Krishna Mutt auditorium, here on Thursday January 6, Swami Laxmivarateerta further said that Vedic rites will be held in worshiping Subrahmanya deity wherein his idol was installed by Guru Vadiraja 5 centuries ago in the precinct of Sri Krishna Mutt, added Swami Laxmivarateerta.
Nagamandala Vedic rites will be held under the leadership of Nagapatri – Kakkunje Nagananda Vasudev Acharya by Maddoor Srikrishnaprasad Vaidya and group.
The procession of head-load offerings will be held from Jodukatte, here at 4.00 pm on Thursday January 13.
Makara Sankramana celebrations including Teppotsav will be held at 7.00 pm on Friday January 14.
Churnotsav – Vedic rituals will be held at 9.00 am on Saturday January 15.
Naganand Vasudev Acharya, Sri Krishna Mutt Diwan Latavya Acharya, Harikrishna Punaroor, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and Tallur Shivaram Shetty were present.
