Riyadh: US President Biden holds talks with King Salman on Houti aggression

Riyadh, Feb 10: US President Biden and King of Saudi Salman held talks on various subjects in order to strengthen the cooperation and achieve stability in the region.

The main issue was the aggression of Houti militia against the kingdom. King Salman acknowledged the support of United States.

Three people were killed and six were injured on January 17 when a drone missile fired by the Houti militia hit Abu Dhabi National oil Co fuel depot.

Saudi has successfully destroyed many missiles fired by the militia. Salman also assured his support to US in pursuing Iran on Nuclear weapons.

Iran recently announced a new missile stock with a range of 1450 kilometers. The Joint Comprehensive plan of action which started in 2015 with Iran collapsed in 2018.

Confrontation of terrorism, financing and mutual security cooperation were also discussed by both leaders.

Role of historic OPEC agreement and the need to maintain it were also discussed by Biden and Salman.
