Udupi: Epileptic Youth Drowns in Pond

Udupi, Dec 17: In an incident that occurred on Thursday December 16, a youth drowned in a pond near Katpady in the district, after suffering from epileptic seizure after taking bath.

The deceased has been identified as Bheemal Prasad (20), a native of Nepal, and presently residing at Durganagar, Katpady. He, along with his father, Chendip Prasad, had taken bath in the pond. Both of them were about to return home after drying their bodies with the help of towels, when Bheemal suffered epileptic seizure. He slipped and fell into the tank as a result.

It is learnt that Bheemal had been suffering from epilepsy since some time. A complaint of unnatural death was registered in Kaup police station in this connection.
