Udupi, Dec 15: Chandrakant Poojary (48), a resident of Chippibettu in Handady village near Brahmavar, was killed in an accident on Tuesday December 14. When he was moving to Brahmavar from Kundapur in his two-wheeler, a lorry coming from the opposite direction hit him near Kumragodu Uppinakote on national highway 17.
Poojary, who was thrown to the ground, suffered multiple fractures including severe head and leg injuries. Although arrangements were made to take him to a hospital immediately, he breathed his last before reaching the hospital.
