Bengaluru, Jan 17: State Government’s Department of Collegiate Education (DCTE) has invited online applications for the appointment of guest lecturers for government first-grade colleges for the academic year 2021-22 in the State.
The last date for submitting applications is January 21.
DCTE Commissioner P Pradeep, has stated that candidates can submit applications through the online portal https://dce.karnataka.gov.in.
As per the order issued by the State Government January 14, 2022, the guest lecturers will be allotted a workload of 15 hours per week.
To adjust the prescribed workload candidates have been asked to mention 10 colleges of their choice while submitting the application.
In case of non-availability of workload in the selected colleges, the work will be allotted by the department in other colleges, the Commissioner explained.
He said the subject-wise merit list of guest lecturers will be based on the following criteria for a maximum score of 100 marks:
1) Education Qualification: 25% of average marks scored by the candidate in 2 years of PG (Max 25 Marks)
2) Additional Qualification: For having Ph.D. (12 Marks), for completing NET/SLET (9 Marks), For M. Phil (6 Marks)
3) Experience: 3 marks for each year of working as a guest lecturer in any government first-grade college up to a maximum of 16 years, (3 Marks for those who have worked for the full academic year and 1.5 marks for those who have worked only for the semester) (Max 48 Marks)
An additional 10 Marks will be added for the candidates who are physically challenged, the Commissioner said.
