Panaji: Embarrassment to ruling BJP, Calangute MLA campaigns for probable Congress candidate

Panaji, Jan 10: In a shocking development Michael Lobo Calangute MLA of BJP and minister for science and technology campaigned for probable Congress candidate Kedar Naik in Saligao constituency on Sunday.

In reply to the question of scribes as to why he is campaigning for Congress candidate, Lobo said that they will get the answer on Monday.

Lobo said that they have come to Saligao to seek blessings of the Lord and good things will happen to Goa in the coming elections. Michael said that he is campaigning for the good of the people of Goa.

Lobo said that Goa needs to be protected for the next generation. Otherwise it will be finished. He also called upon the people of Goa to give a clear mandate to one party to ensure a stable government.

The Election commission of Goa has given 34 days for the people of Goa to choose the right candidates, said Lobo.

Under the banner Together for Bardez, Lobo promised to support six candidates for the survival of Goa in 2022. Lobo went door to door with Naik on Sunday.

Naik said that with the blessings of Lobo and the public, I have started my campaigning from Guirim. Naik quit BJP recently and joined the Congress party.
