Moodbidri, Dec 31: Pradeep Barboza’s directorial Tulu film ‘Soda Sharbath’ witnessed a grand release at Amarashree Talkies here on Friday December 31.

A programme prior to the release show was inaugurated by Sri Muktananda Swamiji of Satyanarayanapura Sri Laxmi Satyanarayana Veeranjaneya Swami temple, Karinje.

Managing director of Daijiworld media Walter Nandalike, Fr Paul Pereira, vicar forane of Moodbidri deanery, Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA, Sudarshan, president, Dakshina Kannada BJP, Stany Lobo, president, Catholic Sabha, Mangaluru and others were present.

Inaugurating the event, Sri Muktananda Swamiji said, “It is a very happy moment to see a movie getting released in here. The Muhurat of the movie was held at our Karinje temple and I had blessed the first shot. Now again, the director and producer of the movie, Pradeep Barboza, invited me for releasing ‘Soda Sharbath’. Now I feel, I am also a part of this movie. It is a great news that our local boy has produced a movie accommodating known artistes of the Tulu industry. It is time to support and appreciate him. I wish him all success for ‘Soda Sharbath’ and all future projects.

Tulunada Manikya fame Aravind Bolar, known comedy actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Telikeda Bolli fame Devadas Kapikad, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Bailur Konkani’s well-known actor Mellu Valencia, Laveena Fernandes, Ranjitha Lewis, Harshith Bangera and many others are part of the movie. Melwyn Elpel has worked as the executive producer. Patson Periera has composed music for the movie. The editing part is handled by Ganesh Neerchal. DOP is Santhosh Gumpalaje.

Co-producers of the film are Lancy D’Souza, Diany D’Souza, Paul D’Souza and Prashanth Ferao.
