Mangaluru, Dec 3: 'Karnikada Kallurti', a Tulu film directed by Mahendra Kumar released on Friday December 3 at Bharath Mall.
Sri Mohandas Paramahamsa swamiji of Manila inaugurated the release function. Corporator Shashidhar Hegde, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, actor Ramesh Bhat, Prashanth, Shalini, well wisher Raj Gopal Rai, Vasanth Poojary and others were present.
The movie will release at all theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
The film was shot for 70 days in and around Karkala. The budget of the movie is Rs 1.75 crore. A lot of graphics will be seen in the movie.
Being a period movie, 'Karnikada Kallurti' will have six songs which will be a visual treat to cine-lovers.
The muhurat of the movie was held in 2018 at Panolibail. The first few parts of the movie were shot in and around Bajagoli. The post production work was done in Bengaluru.
The film is produced under the banner of ‘Phoenix Films’. The story of the film which is based on Kallurti is written by Mahendra Kumar, dialogues are by Gangadhar Kirodian, and cinematography is handled by Umapathi. The lyrics for the songs are written by Gangadhar Kirodian and music is composed by Hithen Hassan.
Ramesh Bhat, Shailendra D J, Chandini Anchan, Mahendra Kumar, Shalini Marakada and others are in the cast.
