Kundapur: Congress leader Parampalli Shambhu Poojary passes away

Kundapur, Dec 2: Former president of Kota block congress, Billava community leader Parampalli Shambhu Poojary passed away due to sickness on Thursday. He was 61.

He had served as member of Saligram town panchayat twice, leader of opposition, councillor of initial Saligram municipal council, director of Kota agriculture cooperative society, former president of Narayanaguru Seva Sangha and former president of Saligrama Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava committee.

He has left behind his wife Geetha, former member of Udupi district panchayat, a son and a large number of well-wishers.
