Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 30: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, November 30 reported 19 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.39%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 22,44,987 samples have been tested so far, out of which 21,29,106 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,881 out of which 147 are currently active.

As many as 8 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 114040.

The death in the district on Tuesday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,694.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,84,270 in fines for 88,914 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,67,406 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 7 new cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 76,885 out of which 58 are currently active.

A total of 6 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,351 for the second wave.

The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 286 lives in the district.
