Senior associate editor of Vijayavani Mangaluru edition, Girish K L, passes away

Mangaluru, Feb 3: Girish KL (49), senior associate editor of Vijayavani’s Mangaluru edition and a resident of Shakthinagar, passed away on Monday due to a heart attack.

Girish had served in prominent Kannada newspapers such as Shakthi, Ushakiran, and Udayavani before joining Vijayavani, where he worked as a senior associate editor since its inception. He is survived by his wife and son.

Expressing condolences, Dr Vijay Sankeshwar, chairman, and Dr Anand Sankeshwar, managing director of VRL Group, mourned his demise and extended their sympathies to the bereaved family.

Girish’s contributions to journalism and his dedication to the field have left a lasting impact, and his loss is deeply felt by colleagues, friends, and the media fraternity.
