Mangaluru, Nov 29: A person went about vandalizing the State Bank of India ATM located near Katla road bend on MRPL Road, Surathkal, He demolished things there. This incident happened during the late night hours of Saturday November 27.
The CCTV camera installed inside the ATM shows the man breaking things. This incident has also been captured by the CCTV of the building housing the ATM. The glass wall of the ATM had been shattered on September 9 this year, and it has been broken again this time with the help of a helmet. ATM machine has been dropped down, air-conditioner, glass wall and other assets have been comprehensively damaged.
Relating to the complaint filed by the bank about the breaking of glass wall of this ATM on September 9 this year, the police had taken into custody a local man and questioned him. It was said that he was mentally unstable and therefore sent for treatment. It is said that going by the images captured by the CCTV cameras, the same person has inflicted losses again.
Owner of the building, Satish, informed the police station. The bank officials are likely to file an official complaint on Monday November 29. The bank has suffered loss of lacs of rupees in this incident.
