Mangalore, Nov 15: “No case was registered against Arundhati Roy, booker prize-winning novelist, after she declared that Kashmir was never an integral part of India. But, if any one makes a statement against Sonia Gandhi, a case gets registered without any delay. This is the real face of the Congress party,” said national convener of Bajrang Dal, Subhash Chauhan.
He was delivering the keynote address at the south provincial conference of Bajrang Dal held at Sangh Niketan here on Sunday November 14. He wanted to know why Arundhati Roy, who also said that the presence of naxals contributes to the improvement of the situation in the country, does not face any cases. He criticized the Congress for terming Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a terrorist organization. “They commit so many wrongs. Why then, should we not call Sonia Gandhi a CIA agent?” he questioned.
He said that India has come under attack repeatedly since the times of the Mogul emperors. He resented the recent incidents of attacks on Hindu centres of faith and Hindu saints, and the projection of Hindus as terrorists, and offices of Hindu outfits coming under attacks. He felt that the rulers believe that dividing the belief systems of the people enables them to divide the people and rule the country. Chauhan also lamented the fact that Ram Mandir could not be built even after 63 years of independence.
South province convener of the Dal, Soryanarayana, deputy convener, Manjunath Mandya, Vishwa Hindu Parishat south province organizational secretary, Keshav Hegde, Sharan Pumpwell, Shivanand Mendon and others were present. Vinay L Shetty presented the programme.
