Bengaluru, Nov 21: Karnataka on Sunday November 21 continued to maintain a steady rate in the number of coronavirus cases, with the state registering 247 new infections.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 7,064. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 134 new infections, while Mysuru reported 48 and Dakshina Kannada 10.
Only one death due to coronavirus was reported in the state on Sunday, from Bengaluru Urban. With this, the toll so far stands at 38,175.
The state recorded 278 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,48,331.
So far, Karnataka has seen 29,93,599 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.31%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.40%.
As many as 7,02,94,605 vaccination doses have been administered so far.
