Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates 'Establishment Day'

Mangaluru, Nov 19: The Foundation Day of the Apostolic Carmel congregation founded by Venerable Mother Veronica in India was solemnized with brio and zealousness on November 19, 2021.

The day initiated with a thanksgiving mass celebrated by Fr Maxim Rosario, diocesan estate manager. In his Homily Fr Maxim accentuated that students can achieve a goal with focus, diligence, patience and confidence with concrete examples. On the same day propitious day, ceremonious initiation of the Carmel Blossoms was also held. Thereafter cultural extravaganza followed in the school auditorium.

Every morning is a surprise and every sunrise is a challenge and each day is a gift. To give the first fruit of the day to God is one of the most valuable ways to manifest one’s love to the Omniscient. Carmel Blossoms invoked God’s blessings through a meaningful prayer service.

Graceful movements make every step a wonderful co-ordination to feel the beat, It grace the occasion with cheer and glee. The dance troop welcomed the audience with a welcome dance. The significance of the day was superbly exemplified in the skit entitled ‘Veronica was her Name'. Sr Sarika, principal in her invigorating message underscore the motto of the Apostolic Carmel 'God Alone Suffices' through verbal situations, anecdotes and touching facts of life.

The programme was compered by Nichelle Yash DSouza and Venus Suhani DLima. Anika Patrao welcomed the gathering and Siona Sajeev proposed the vote of thanks.
