Udupi, Nov 19: Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh on Friday November 19 submitted a memorandum to superintendent of police (SP) urging the department to trace a girl who is missing from the past seven months from Perampalli.
Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh president Merry D'Souza submitted the memorandum to additional superintendent of police (ASP) Kumarachandra in the absence of SP.
Reportedly, Aveena (16), a resident of Perampalli, went missing from her house on April 13, 2021 under the police station limits of Manipal, here. Her parents have filed a complaint in Manipal police station. As there is no information about the girl, her parents are tensed.
As the police department is making sincere efforts to trace the girl, Mery D'Souza has urged the police department to trace the missing girl very soon and provide justice to the worried family.
ASP Kumarachandra who received the memorandum assured that the department has taken all types of measures to trace the girl. The missing girl will be traced at the earliest, he said.
Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh designated president Santosh Cornelio, Udupi Zone president Lavina Periera, Udupi Unit President Lesly Cornelio, and Perampalli unit president Oliver D'Souza were present.
