Udupi, Nov 19: Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers welfare, Shobha Karandlaje, who represents Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency in the Lok Sabha, had come here to take part in a programme on Friday November 19.
Karandlaje chose not to respond to questions posed on the proposed move of the central government to withdraw the farm laws for being reintroduced with modifications. The minister, during her participation in the programme, raised issues like Bitcoin, legislative council election etc. However, when she was asked about the move to withdraw the farm amendment acts, she chose not to respond.
The minister used to speak about the farmers who were protesting against these laws in the past. However, on Friday she had no answers to questions on the decision to withdraw the farm laws. She returned without giving any replies to questions raised on this issue.
