Mangaluru, Nov 18: As per the directions of the state government, the deputy commissioner and the zilla panchayat chief executive officer had flagged off the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ (Door-to-door vaccination) campaign on November 3 which will continue till November 30.
The details of the campaign have been discussed with all the medical officers of Urban Primary Healthcare Centers in the presence of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) commissioner Akshy Sridhar, district health officers, district covid vaccination nodal officers, surveying medical officers, MCC medical officers and health inspectors, stated a press release issued by MCC commissioner.
“In collaboration with NSS candidates of all the colleges in the city, MCC has begun identifying citizens who have not yet received the first and second dose of vaccine. Along with this, the services of NSS student volunteers have also been deployed at helpline call centers at Covid war room under the supervision of MCC health inspectors.
“MCC health officers, medical staff from Urban Primary Healthcare Centers, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers will be visiting each house with NSS students. Citizens at work associations, educational institutions, factories, industries, construction sites, resident associations are requested to provide required information and corporate,” stated the release.
The MCC commissioner, in the release, requested all citizens under the MCC limits to take the first and second dose of vaccines and help in achieving progress in vaccination percentage.
