Moodbidri: Jain Milan Organizes Aharotsava

Moodbidri, Nov 11: Under the aegis of Jain Milan ‘Aharotsava’, a food fest was at Sri Dhavala College auditorium, here on Wednesday November 10.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, MLA and member of Jain Milan Abhayachandra Jain said that the Jain religion has spread the message of non-violence to the world. The Jain values and ethos are ideal for the welfare of society and is very ample for each and every human being to follow, he asserted.

For the growth of education in the region the Jains have strived hard almost 100 years ago by setting up institutions, he pointed out.

Former president of Muda Suresh Ballal was another chief guest for the occasion. He said that one should strive to build up a calm and peaceful society by following the ideal values and ethics. He also said that facilities provided by the government to the minorities should be made use of in the best possible manner. Jain Milan should hold some informative programmes to create awareness among public about the facilities provided by the government, he added.

president B Manikyaraj Ajri also spopke on the o0ccasion and said that he ll be grateful to receive feedback and suggestions  to improve the activities conducted by Milan.

Milan secretary Udayakumar read the report. Prabhachandra welcomed, Gunapal compered the programme and Yatiraj proposed the vote of thanks.
