Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Nov 11: Heavy rains lashed Subrahmanya, Beltangady, Dharmasthala and surrounding areas on the evening of Wednesday November 10. Sullia, Karkala and Mulky too received rains on Wednesday evening.

In Subrahmanya, Beltangady and a few other places, artificial flood was created in the road and low-lying areas temporarily, while landline phones stopped functioning.  Water level rose in the rivers flowing these areas. The rains were marked by lightning.

Other than these places, the entire coast enjoyed a sunny day since morning on Wednesday. Cloudy weather was experienced in the evening. The farmers are hopeful that the sunny weather will continue for a couple of days, so that they would be able to harvest the standing paddy crops.
