Mangalore: Rohitash Murder – Policemen Arrest Accused from Haryana

Mangalore, Nov 10: The policemen of Barke station here have succeeded in nabbing Sandeep Soni (25), who had allegedly absconded after stabbing his room mate, Rohitsah (26) to death on the night of October 6 in Mannagudde in the city.

Sandeep Soni and Rohitash, both from north Indian origin, who were staying with their colleagues in Indo-Aryan Central Transport Company in a rented room in Mannagudde here, had fought on the night of October 6 over making of Chapatis. The other room mates had succeeded in calming down the two fighting friends. However, Soni, who continued to nurse the grudge, allegedly woke up after midnight when all others were sleeping, stabbed Rohitash to death with the help of a kitchen knife, and then ran away. The others realized what had happened, after they woke up the next morning.

Under the instructions of Bunder station police inspector, Vinay Gaonkar, Barke station sub-inspector, Shivaprakash, had led a team of personnel, in search of Soni. The team, after checking at several places, succeeded in arresting Rohitash from Khera village of Bhiwani district in Haryana. The accused has been brought to the city.
