Mangalore: Bakrid in Karnataka Coast on November 17

Mangalore, Nov 10: S M Rashid, treasurer of Masjid Zeenat Baksh, Central Jumma Masjid here, said that the first moon of the Dul Haj month was sighted in Kerala on the night of Monday November 8.

As such, Bakrid (Ed Ul Azha – festival of sacrifice), will be observed on November 17, as per the directions of Dakshina Kannada district Kazi, Twaka Ahmed Musliyar.

General secretary of Udupi District Sunni Combined Jamaat, M A Bavu, also said that the Kazi of the Jamaat, P M Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal Ustad, has informed that Bakrid will be observed in the district on November 17.
